DOE Health & Safety Policies for Schools
All Students & Staff must complete the DOE Health Screening Survey every morning to enter the school building.
There is no full remote instruction option for students. If a family does not want in-person instruction, they must apply for homeschooling (see the DOE Homecoming Health & Safety Guide)
Random temperature checks will be done each morning when students enter the building.
All Students and Staff must wear a mask at all times in the school building.
All Students and Staff will follow the social distancing guidelines throughout the building.
As per the CDC, where possible, 3 feet social distancing will be maintained in classrooms and cafeteria.
As our country grapples with the complexities of the COVID-19 pandemic, New York City public schools are stopping at nothing to create an education that puts your children’s health, safety, and emotional well-being first. An education that creates a new standard of excellence for blended and fully remote learning. An education that will prepare your children to thrive—today, tomorrow, next year, and for the rest of their lives.

A new way to learn from home
The NYC Department of Education (DOE) and Wide Open School (WOS) share a belief that online learning resources are an essential component of student learning in the modern classroom and complement teacher instruction. Online resources also support educational equity, which is critical to transforming the lives of all students, especially those with disabilities and who are multilingual learners. This exciting DOE and WOS partnership provides a distance learning site where families and students may access a variety of high-quality, academic enrichment and support resources.
